The annual rent is advertised on the Pub Company website. You have had your first general interview with a Pub Company Regional Manager. They are interested to take you further through the recruitment process and send you a whole bundle of information about the pub usually called Schedule 1.
What's Next?
You are asked to write a Business plan and usually the Pub Company sends you a template to complete which considers all the relevant sections needed to fulfil the requirements of the Pubs Code and their recruitment process. There is a Financial section where you will be asked for:

A Profit & Loss Statement for your first full year of trading

A 5-Year Cashflow Forecast

A Sensitivity Analysis

As part of the recruitment process and the Pubs code, you will be asked to provide a letter pre-dating the Business plan that you have taken Financial advice from regarding your Application. You need to set up your relationship with your Pub Accountant at this stage.
Before you trade on day 1 you need a Pub Accountant to help you with your book- keeping and Accounting purposes.
You are investing your money in a new Business venture; be smart and take all the advice you can, especially from a Pub Accountant.
